| Show horse, jumper, english pleasure, western pleasure, trail horse - Eli does it all! I have a 9 year old bay AQHA registered appendix that I am looking to lease out. 16 hands. He is gentle and safe enough for young children to ride him(my 8 y/o sister has been riding him since she was six), yet spunky and challenging enough for older riders. He has been shown through 4-h and at multiple open shows - western & english pleasure, trail class, and jumping. Eli has gone on overnight camping trips up at Wildcat Mountain as well as day camping trips. Can be ridden bareback and BRIDLELESS, and has been jumped both. We are located in Oconomowoc on Hwy P at a boarding stable. He must stay at my barn. Lessons are not required with the lease but there is an on-site trainer who works with him on a weekly basis to assist a rider if necessary. Anyone that wishes to lease him would have access to an indoor/outdoor arena, round pen, and trail for riding. If you are looking to show, that can certainly be arranged as our barn attends numerous shows a year, in addition to 4-h events. I do have additional photos and videos if you wish. Eli is NOT for sale and I still will be riding him. However, I am working with younger horses and wish that someone else could share the fun I get out of him. | Coming 9 yr old bay Thoroughbred mare, 16.0 hh. Flashy, very correct conformation and very pretty! She has been ridden by adults and teenagers, does well with intermediates and up. She takes a firm hand on the ground until she gets to know you as she tends to take advantage of timid people but a confident intermediate will earn her respect easily. She will get a little pushy at her stall, or try to power walk in front of you, make faces, etc. It's mostly a show, she just needs you to be firm with her and she straightens right up.She also loves to be worked (even though she will tell you different) and she is a total doll when she's being worked 3-4 days a week. Very quirky and affectionate once she bonds with you and has a hilarious personality. She will w/t/c, is schooling training and 1st level dressage movements and will jump around a 2'3 course and has gone up to 3' single fences. She's a little out of shape but she's fit to ride. She has free jumped over 3'6" with ease just needs more time over fences to go bigger with confidence as I don't have an indoor or the time to school her often. She is very willing and fun under saddle and would be perfect for someone looking to do hunters, dressage or Pony Club/4-H. Requires a low dose joint supplement and shoes on all four hooves when in routine work for maintenance but other than that not a problem. She is a little out of shape but is coming along nicely with routine work and will continue to improve with more riding. I am willing to do a half lease on my farm in State College, PA or full-lease off my farm with a contract. I am also willing to lease her for use as a broodmare as she is very pretty and correct. Either on your farm or you pay for expenses to get her bred and pregnancy checked and partial/full board and she stays with me. She would drop really nice foals and has excellent bloodlines (registered name is R Mischievous Lady in the Jockey Club). | I used to show dressage but have been Australia for over 5 years and wanting to lease a good educated horse so I can have dressage lessons and get back into it!..will take great care and will consider any size between 15 to 17 hh. Must be a kind horse as I want to not worry about getting thrown off while getting my confidence back. | ||||||||||
